 Ms. Lewis became affiliated with Feed My People while working to open a
girls group home. Quickly she was made aware of the needs of Feed My People
and began to contribute her time. She rapidly moved up in the organization
and now presides as Executive Director. Ms. Lewis was the recipient of the
community service award 2007 by the Henry County NAACP. As a resident of
McDonough, she continues to be active in community affairs and expand the
ministry. The plans will include a new space to allow them to prepare and
serve the community with hot meals in a commercial kitchen, a chapel to
minister to the spirit man and a state of the art training center that will
empower each client with skills to produce a productive tax-paying citizen
of the city of Stockbridge and Henry County. Ms. Lewis believes that by
demonstrating the LOVE OF GOD to our constituents a huge impact will be made
–making a mark that cannot be erased.
Ms. Lewis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Margaret and Alcide
Jones. She grew up in Slidell, Louisiana where she attended Salmen High
School. She was a member of the student council throughout high school and
president of DECA in her senior year. She attended Southeastern Louisiana
University and majored in Business Administration. Ms. Lewis is the eldest
of four sisters, all residing in the metro area. She is the mother of three;
her son Lionel reside is Slidell and both her daughters, Alicia and Christa
reside in metro Atlanta. She is devoted grandmother of four. Ms. Lewis
currently worships at World Changers Church International under the
leadership of Dr. Creflo and Taffi Dollar. Ms. Lewis remains active in
community work. She has served on the Riverdale Citizens alliance and worked
on several project with a number of council members while residing in
Riverdale.
