Founder
 Born
in the foothills f the Appalachian Mountains into an impoverished family,
Ms. Lee learned at a young age what it was like to do without. One of her
earliest life lessons was, if you want something, you have to work for it.
Her first entrepreneur endeavor began at age 11, selling homemade bread to a
local coal mining office. Becoming a mother at the tender age of 15 forced
her to join the workforce at 16. She made $1.00 an hour as a waitress, then
became a heavy equipment operator at 19 (early 80’s), when few women dared
to enter the trucking industry. Seventeen years later, she founded Annette
Lee Trucking/South Wind Express. In 2002, a life altering experience caused
her to begin tenaciously seeking God and His will for her life. At the age
of 43, she took a tremendous leap of faith, closed her company and answered
God’s call to Feed My People. Since February 2002, she had dedicated herself
to feeding, clothing, counseling and educating the least of these in Clayton
and Henry counties (Georgia).
Annette currently resides in Clarksville, Georgia enjoying family life with
her husband (William), daughter (Jennifer) and granddaughter (Nicole). She
operates a business started by Jennifer and continues to assist families
less fortunate than herself.
