4 Rivers Receives $25,000 Donation
Local Food Pantry receives $25,000 to Purchase Utility Van and Box Truck From St. Timothy's Lutheran Church of Forest Park
STOCKBRIDGE, GA- 4 Rivers Ministry International formerly Feed My people receives $25,000 from local church
Just when times are getting tougher there are organizations who are still in the business of being a blessing to people. On Sunday April 10, 2011 3:00pm at the Georgia Power building located at 752 Main St, Ste A, Forest Park, GA30297, 4 Rivers Ministry will receive the donation in an official ceremony.
As Feed My people, the food pantry struggles to keep freezers running, food on pantry shelves and use personal vehicles to transport donated goods to the facility, one of their long time volunteers Lucy Strauss informs her church of the needs of the organization. Without hesitation St. Timothy's Lutheran Church committed to $25,000 to purchase the necessary vehicles.
4 Rivers Ministry International is a food pantry and donation center located at 6045 N. Henry Blvd Ste C Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
Urgent holiday needs are:
500 card board boxes, Toothpast, toothbrushes, mouthwash, soaps, deodorants,
lotions, for these 500 boxes
To assist the homeless weather the upcoming winter:
Scarves, hats, gloves, socks, coats and blankets.
New Facility please:
We are striving to take full ownership of 5701 Jonesboro Road, in Lake City,
Georgia. This is a 60,00 sq ft. building that we would allow us to
collaborate with another ministry to fulfill the vision of 4Rivers and Feed
My People. It would provide us with the space to offer a state of the art
Education/Training Center, expand the food ministry as well as the thrift
store, gym and community garden. We would provide hot meals 2-3 times daily
to the homeless and affordable lunches to the community. These are just a
few of the new programs that we want to roll out to the community.
One million is the asking price for this space. We estimate another one
million to renovate and purchase the necessary equipment to fill the
building as well as an estimated 750,000 for staffing, furniture and funding
to support and maintain for one year.
Here is where you fit in-we are seeking 30,000 individuals for a one time
donation of only 100 to complete this task. Help us to spread the word on
