Bill and Annette Lee were long haul owner operators. On Feb 5th 2001, Bill Lee collapsed at a place they were loading in Fresno California. He could not breathe and his lips where turning blue. At the hospital Dr. Lipnick, who was not suppose to be on duty at that time, saw Bill. He was having a massive heart attack. A Widow Maker. Dr. Lipnick as we later learned is one of only 8 doctors in this country that can successfully do the procedure needed to save some one in the situation Bill was in.

Bill flat lined 4 times during the procedure. He came out of the operation on total life support. The doctor gave me little hope of Bill surviving. After a few days, Dr. Lipnick called Stanford University Hospital the 1st and best transplant hospital in our country. He talk to some doctors he knew there and got Bill moved ahead of 19 others for a place and a chance at life. Bill was life flighted to Stanford; at Stanford Bill had a team of doctors. That team gave me little hope for Bill's recovery. All the while prayers where being presented to God, for us.

Once it was determined, Bill was a suitable transplant candidate, he was put on a waiting list. We where warned it could take years to get a heart, Bill would possibly die waiting. Less then 7 days later, they told us Bill was getting a new heart. When they told us, the heart was coming from FRESNO. Bill said if you have never heard God speak, you are hearing him now! God was letting us know: our lives are his! His to take and his to give. God took my husbands life, as he knew it in Fresno and gave him back life from Fresno. A new life to be lived serving and glorifying God! We are living proof, God is alive and still very much in the miracle business.

After the transplant and rehab, we left Stanford for home. We returned to operating our trucking business. I started to notice people hungry and food going to waste. I had seen all this for years but now it was actually hurting me to see it. I started having anxiety attacks; all the while God was shutting doors in trucking, and placing a desire in me to serve him. We came to the realization God had a plan and a purpose for us. We knew I was suppose to get off the road and do what I kept hearing God say to me "Annette, Feed My People." All he asked from us was to trust him; we took a step of faith. Believing that God is always in control and He keeps the promises that are in his Word.

2nd Corinthian 5:7 we live by faith and not by sight.

God made a way to get us out of our trucking business, which equates to another miracle.

Once we were home, I felt God's hand leading me around, I met different people that where doing Ministry work to help the poor and downtrodden.

I started working with the Village Churches food ministry. Which at the time, was feeding 25 families with food donated by Publix grocery store and food purchased by the Church. One day I sat down at the church computer and put what God was showing me on paper. The Vision that is now called Feed My People was laid out that day at The Village Church in Jonesboro, Georgia .

We went to the Farmers Market and God's favor was on us. We started getting a pickup load of produce soon it was 3 pick up loads. Eventually, the Village church started renting us a straight truck. As the food ministry grew, God was putting on people's heart a desire to help. He has called many talented and faithful people to this vision.

It became apparent to the Village Church Pastor Ray Waters, that the vision was too big for one church. It would take a community to do all that God had called us to do. So, we were set up separate from the church. October of 2002, Feed My People was incorporate. We opened our center Dec 11 2002, in belief and by faith.

By Faith: Noah built the ark, By Faith Abraham became the father of a nation, By Faith, Moses lead the people out of Egypt, and by faith Feed My People came in to being and continues to operate.

That is the end of my testimony as it pertains to how and why and what.

May GOD Bless you and yours,

Annette
